BacLock®  Language Update

Due to an ever-changing regulatory environment following the COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking even further steps to clarify the unique benefits of our BacLock® micro-silver agent.

Here’s what you need to know:

What is changing:

The following additional statement will be added to the end of the standard BacLock disclaimer:

  • BacLock® does not protect people from disease-causing pathogens.

What is NOT changing:

  • Our core BacLock® claim
    • BacLock® is an antimicrobial agent solely intended to protect and self-clean the cloth by inhibiting growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew.
  • Our existing Norwex Microfiber claim
    • Densely woven microfiber physically removes up to 99% of bacteria from a surface using water when following proper care and use instructions

Updated Disclaimers 

Here is a breakdown of each type of disclaimer when BacLock® is mentioned.

When BacLock® is mentioned by itself:

BacLock® is an antimicrobial agent solely intended to protect and self-clean the [cloth/product] by inhibiting growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew. BacLock® does not protect people from disease-causing pathogens.

When BacLock® is mentioned with a food contact item:

BacLock® is an antimicrobial agent solely intended to protect the product by inhibiting growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew on the product surface. This product does not protect users against foodborne bacteria or disease-causing pathogens. Always clean and wash this product thoroughly before and after each use.

Consultant Care Center Hours

Contact the Consultant Care Center toll-free at 1-866-450-7499, or email CustomerService@Norwex.com. The Consultant Care Center is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., CT and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., CT.

Re-opt in for Texts

If you haven’t already done so, make sure you’ve re-opted in to receive marketing communication texts.

Simply text the word Norwex to 32636 to continue receiving important updates, such as Flash Sales and Consultant-only incentives. If you no longer wish to receive texts from Norwex, simply do nothing.

  • Customer’s name and their email address

  • Device and browser info (phone – Android or iPhone; computer – specify browser)

  • Any additional information, screenshots and/or videos that could speed up the resolution process
